5 gorgeous beaches where you don't need a passport

The beach is my happy place.

Something about the calm, blue water and the smooth sand underneath your toes. Hearing the waves, feeling a soft breeze, and the heat of the sun on my skin. One of the most beautiful things on the planet. I plan to see all the most wonderful beaches in this wonderful world and I know that means traveling all over the place. But there are a few that can be seen, without the hassle of a passport!

Playa Flamenco, Isla Culebra, Puerto Rico

This beach is known for its brilliant white sand and crescent shape and is perfect for snorkeling or lounging.

Playa de Pájaros & Playa Sardinera, Isla de la Mona, Puerto Rico

This island of Puerto Rico is uninhabited but visitors are totally welcome, even though it's only at 100 visitors at a time. This island is also a hot spot for beach camping and cave exploration.

Trunk Bay, St. John, U.S.V.I.

St. John is only accessible via ferry from St. Thomas but this beach should definitely be on your bucket list. We have been here and when I say it is picture-perfect, it is! Absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. St. John is one of my favorite islands.

Magens Bay, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.

This beach is on the list of top ten beaches in the world and I've been to this one, too. It is absolutely beautiful and postcard pretty, too. Because of its popularity though, at times, it can be crowded.

Turtle Beach, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

This beach has some of the prettiest white sands that make it perfect for sunbathing and lounging. But, the special thing about this beach is the snorkeling. It is known for having some of the snorkeling in the Caribbean.
