We started 2024 with a bang aboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady as part of the Top 100 Spectacular Soiree. Being surrounded by industry leaders and celebrating the brand’s achievements felt like the ultimate vibe. From exclusive events to some of the best dining experiences at sea (hello, Test Kitchen!), the Scarlet Lady proved once again why Virgin Voyages is a game-changer in the cruise world. The buzz around Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas had us counting down the days until we stepped aboard. And y’all, this ship did NOT disappoint. From the massive AquaDome to the Surfside neighborhood designed for families, every detail was next-level. Experiencing its inaugural sailing was like stepping into the future of cruising. Icon set a new standard for innovation, and we’re here for it!
Brothahood at Sea: Super Bowl Guys’ Cruise
The inaugural Brothahood at Sea aboard the Allure of the Seas was one for the books! Picture this: a group of amazing men coming together to celebrate brotherhood, football, and a shared love of cruising. Watching the Super Bowl on the big screen while sailing the Caribbean? Epic. The camaraderie and fun made this cruise a standout moment of the year.
Melanin at Sea: Martinique Magic on the Valiant Lady
Sailing with the Melanin at Sea group is always a highlight, and this time, we took the party to the Southern Caribbean aboard Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady. It was our first time visiting Martinique, and we fell in love with its vibrant culture and breathtaking scenery. From exploring local markets to sipping rum punches on pristine beaches, Martinique stole our hearts.
Bucket List Complete: Holland America Line MS Rotterdam
One of our proudest moments of 2024 was achieving our goal of sailing with all the major cruise lines. The Holland America Line MS Rotterdam was the final piece of the puzzle, and it exceeded our expectations. Known for its timeless elegance and culinary excellence, this ship offered a relaxing and refined experience. It was the perfect way to celebrate this milestone.
Terry’s Epic Tahitian Birthday with Windstar Cruises
When it comes to celebrating in style, nothing beats a Windstar cruise in Tahiti. Being hosted aboard their luxury yacht and exploring the crystal-clear waters of French Polynesia was like stepping into a postcard. Terry’s birthday celebration was unforgettable—from private island picnics to snorkel adventures, it was pure bliss.
Alaskan Dreams: Melanin at Sea Group Cruise
Alaska had been on our travel wishlist for ages, and we finally made it happen with another Melanin at Sea group. The glaciers, wildlife, and awe-inspiring landscapes were everything we’d hoped for and more. Whether it was cruising through Glacier Bay or spotting whales in Juneau, this trip was a powerful reminder of nature’s beauty.

Our second-ever Sistahood at Sea group cruise on the Valiant Lady was another unforgettable journey. There’s something so special about creating a space for women to bond, relax, and thrive. This cruise was all about sisterhood, empowerment, and, of course, plenty of fun. From the themed nights to the heartfelt connections, this experience was soul-filling.

Nothing says friendship goals like sailing on Royal Caribbean’s brand-new Utopia of the Seas. This ship brought the wow-factor with its over-the-top amenities and innovative design. Sharing this experience with our closest friends made it even more special. Late-night laughs, amazing food, and nonstop fun? Yes, please!
Networking and Back-to-Backs: Virgin Voyages Retreat Cruise
We’re big on connecting with like-minded people, so attending the first-ever Virgin Voyages retreat cruise was a dream come true. It was a chance to network, share ideas, and soak up inspiration—all while enjoying Virgin’s signature style. To top it off, we did our first back-to-back cruise, which gave us twice the fun and even more memories to cherish.
