Restaurant Review: Twin Brothers Steakhouse and Seafood

Where is it?

Twin Brothers is located in the area called the Fish Fry in Arawak Cay, Nassau, Bahamas

Menu

The menu at Twin Brothers is filled with Caribbean classics like jerk favorites and conch in all forms. There are seafood dishes of all kinds but also classics like a burger and fries. the menu also has fried favorites as well as grilled, or healthier options.

The cocktail menu also has several classics, including a large variety of flavored frozen daiquiris.

Type of Restaurant

The restaurant is labeled as a steakhouse and seafood restaurant. I think it is so much more than that. The traditional favorites are reminscent of a Southern restaurant in the U.S. The baked macaroni and cheese and coleslaw, as well as the red velvet cake are all something you would see in a traditional Southern restaurant.

What’s It Gonna Cost Me?

This is not a restaurant for a quick bite or cheap eats. The appetizers are between $7 to $14. Main dishes can be pricey but this restaurant is labeled as a steakhouse and seafood restaurant. So entrees range in price from $16 to $69. Sandwiches range from $12 to $20. Cocktails range from $8 to $20.

Who Eats Here…

Everyone should eat here! It is a favorite restaurant in the area of both locals and tourists. If you love traditional Caribbean cuisine that is presented in a non-traditional atmosphere, then Twin Brothers restaurant is for you.

What’s the Vibe?

The restaurant is deceiving from the outside. From the outside, it gives the impression of being a local dive. A local favorite. A local mom and pop restaurant. But once you walk inside, the vibe is completely different. Pristine white walls and dark wood booths and tables. The staff is wearing starched, white button down shirts and black trousers and everyone is courteous and welcoming. Our server was especially sweet and was quick to answer any questions we had. This restaurant is perfect for a date night for locals or tourists visiting for several nights. But also quaint enough and not too stuffy for tourists visiting for the day or locals stopping in for a bite for lunch.

How’s the food?

The food is amazing. Twin Brothers serves large portions of homestyle favorites packed with tons of flavor from the Caribbean. The local seafood is ridiculously fresh. The cocktails are also served in large portions and equally tasty!
